China We offer an array of fine blue sheep hunts in China. Please note that China is currently closed to hunting but we expect it to reopen late 2008 or the spring of 2009. Tibetan Blue Sheep This is the most popular blue sheep hunt anywhere. The hunts are well organized, the animals plentiful and the price is right. We package these hunts from San Francisco to San Francisco on an 11-day schedule. Included is roundtrip air from SFO, 5-star hotels in Beijing, firearm permits, visas, deluxe reception banquet, the hunt, horses, guides, and accommodations in yurts - basically everything except meals in Beijing. You'll love it - this is a hassle-free trip. Tibetan gazelle can be added on. Himalayan Blue Sheep The Xinjiang Province of China is fascinating. The mountainous regions feature the Himalayan, Kunlan and Tien Shan Mountain ranges. You will arrive in Beijing, travel to Urumqi, then onto Kashi. From arrival in Kashi, you will be driven 6-7 hours SE to Kudi. This is a high adventure trip that we are anxious to resume when China reopens sport hunting. Helan Mountain Blue Sheep The Helanshan Mountains lie between Inner Mongolia and the Ningxia Province. The blue sheep found here are completely isolated from other blue sheep populations from other regions of China. Helanshan blue sheep are now recognized as a separate sub-specie by SCI and OVIS. Dwarf Blue Sheep This very special hunt takes place in the southern part of Sichuan. Only a few permits are allocated each year and the price is high.
